I’m a multimedia journalist and creative professional with over 22 years of experience. In that time, I have worked in the mediums of photography, writing, audio and video as a producer, host and director for editorial, non profit, small business and corporate clients based in India, Europe and the US.
In 2023, I completed a masters in Engagement Journalism, a maverick journalism program that centers communities, at CUNY's Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. There, I bolstered my skill set with community engagement/collaboration, impact assessment, media entrepreneurship, media tools, data, video, audio among more traditional journalism skills including Advanced Reporting/Research/Photo Editing and Photojournalism.
Currently, I am a regular contributor to JazzTimes Magazine and a Brooklyn based oral and visual history project that I co-founded.
In April 2015, I received the Red Ink Award for Journalistic Excellence by the Mumbai Press Club in the category of photojournalism, for my 3 year long collaborative documentary project on Karunashraya, a hospice in my hometown, Bangalore.
Currently based in New York City.
